My favourite and very hard to get hold of Kurachi album from 2007 - released on Enban and swapped for copies of Sound of Turning Earth. Large and bananas. Kurachi recorded all instruments and music himself and Taku Unami mixed and mastered it together. Comes in jewel case featuring incredibly detailed supermarket illustrations, bonus fold out artworks, lyrics in Japanese and "Kurafu" origami designed by origami artist cochae - hilariously featuring Kurachi's face.
Enban wrote: "The multiplicity that had been attempted in the previous work "I heard the ground sing" is further advanced, and multiple people or unhuman things appear everywhere, meeting, passing, and, at a certain moment, they match as if it were a coincidence. In the slowness that cannot hold, Kurachi creates a mysterious feeling wrapped in tension with a unique sense of time unique to overdub recording. Each word is more everyday than ever before. Speaking quietly or loudly, spoken words exchange. And the background of the self-portrait in the jacket is the supermarket. "Best camera" is a real home electronics retailer based in Kyushu. Too everyday. Nevertheless, the scenery that I have never seen spreads. Includes remake of "Tetsuto" that was recorded on "Rumor Buffalo". Also included in the jacket is the "Kurafu" origami designed by origami artist cochae.

“With Julius, he was based in repetition, but here was a spirit of openness and improvisation. His scores, if they were written out that way, were often like jazz scores. He loved multiplying instruments – four pianos, ten cellos – so there was a real feeling of the presence of the instrument, not just using an instrument in some kind of equation, as a means to an end.” ~ Mary Jane Leach

wow wow wow is this boxset ever full of riches. Dreamtime, The Driver's Son, and Barn Fever are some of my new favourites, and I am 1 of those people who first (knowingly) came across"Blue" Gene Tyranny's work through Trust in Rock. now I have the pleasure of working backwards, forwards, and in all of the degrees of freedom found Cage's Deli
